this is not really binary anymore though. The team have been poking around in the hole for a month now and 4 of the 5 requirements have already been satisfied.
We await 1 more ... permeability and the associated movable hydrocarbon announcement.

If the Angwa reservoir primary target proves tight there are the shallower 200 and Pebbly Arkose, and if they prove tight, there is 200km2 of Angwa at varying depths to poke into, and we already know it's highly permeable in the outcrops, so possibly so at shallower depths as well. Next drill is into Boabab, chosen because it's a different play type. And if this proves tight, there are are the other 10 shallower depth and margin plays, which look like they have been filled from spill from Mukuyu. 12 initial targets, all within what has now been confirmed as a basin with a working hydrocarbon system.

So, this is not a binary play where it is a hit or it's all over.

I was on CUE as they drilled Ironbark, and GLV as they drilled Sassanof. Both Hail Mary single well dusters.

Suffice to say, tomorrow's announcement will not be 'well has been drilled to total depth. No commercial hydrocarbons were intersected. The well will be plugged and abandoned and demobilisation activities commenced' ... the coldest set of words a punter could ever see.
