We KNOW how we got here. The zealots in Labor are principally to blame. But the coalition does not get off scott free. They wholeheartedly embraced the net zero bulltish which cost them plenty of votes in the election.
Net zero is simply not possible in conjunction with Australia's economy. The cost is simply too high in both fiscal and human terms.
Hopefully by the time the next election comes around the electorate will be awake and there will someone putting forward sensible policies. But I'm not holding my breath.
