How silly and naive can you be. Your argument is completely intellectually bankrupt and in denial of how countries operate and how they protect their interests. Do you not remember what the Cuban missile crisis was about. What do you think the USA would do if Mexico or Canada decided to get into a security arrangement with either China or Russia allowing either country to put offensive weapons on the border. It aint going to happen, the USA would give them a warning and if they didnt change they would bomb them. It is not simply “their choice”. Despite your voluminous and incessant posting their is simply no depth let alone insight. It is delusional denial of reality. Ukraine had their chances, now they are paying the price for their foolishness and aggression against the Russian people within Ukraine, and the country will be re-drawn and they will be left as a failed rump state.
