Then why doesn’t the DRC government just come out and say “AVZ own the project and congratulations…here’s the mining licence”?

I think everyone wanting to believe that Felix and his team are the righteous saviours is wishful thinking tbh. They have shown very little leadership on the matter while AVZ has been suspended even though many believe they are on side.

The longer this drags out, the more it will cost AVZ. They will run out of money as the lawyers suck it all up and governments will be replaced making it even harder to get things done. Unfortunately that’s the reality of operating in a risky jurisdiction.
