Ok so the situation is we have a formation test tool stuck in the hole. Cable is stuck....either key seated at a dog leg or differentially stuck against a permeable zone above the tool head.

Cable is still attached to the tool which is a positive so forward plan would be to run in over the cable with an overshot and grapple basket fishing assembly. Once the fishing string is latched onto the tool head the cable is released (via weak point). The cable is pulled back and then the fishing string and tool are pulled back to surface. A fishing specialist is not required for this operation...IVZ Drilling Supers will have done a few of these fishing jobs and wireline/drill crew will have at least a few members who have done the job as well.

Trip in will be slow as they'll be stripping over the wireline. I'd allow at least 24 to 48 hours for the operation. I'd expect an announcement in 2 days time.

To give you some idea of how often a situation like this occurs.....during my 35 year career I'd estimate around 25% of wireline test tool runs I supervised ended up having to be fished. In all cases the tool was retrieved.
