Bad takeover offer, page-203

MIN'S official offer will be released to shareholders in the first week of January and I'm expecting it to be on the same terms as in the initial notice of intention released by MIN. Hope I'm wrong there but I think the initial offer will be the starting point regardless of current share prices.
Following this NWE management will reply by releasing a target statement to shareholders with its recommendations.
Given the wording in NWE management second reply to MIN's announcement of an intended offer, I have NO doubt the recommendation by the NWE board will be a professional & correct "REJECT OFFER".
" The unsolicited offer from our joint venture partner comes at a time when we are on the cusp of a transformational drilling & seismic campaign which aims to prove up Australia's largest ever onshore conventional gas field.
The board is strongly committed to maximising shareholder value and remains 100% focused on acting in the best interests of all NWE shareholders."
I think these sentences released by our board says it all!!! The board will be resolute in their new years resolutions as will a majority of NWE shareholders.
NWE are looking to complete their responsibilities to the current planned drilling & seismic program with the seismic survey having commenced first week in December and the pads are down for the drilling program awaiting reg approvals and rig booking, with both imminent.
NWE have raised and commited its funding for this campaign.
On completion of the drilling/seismic program additional data will be available that will enable a better and proper assessment of NWE's value In regard to the Lockyer Deep Gas Discovery.

Happy new year to all holders, going to be some sorting to do but I'm thinking NWE is not just going to roll-over when it comes to possibly Australia's biggest onshore conventional gas discovery!!!
