The decision to buy and sell is not the brokers unless you have given them carte blanche to manage your investments.
I have found these reports to be useful but of course how information is used is up to the person interpreting the information. No one has said that these brokers are buying these stocks on behalf of their clients. It also doesn't mean that there aren't some savvy investors that trade online.
There are no guarantees in trading however my experience has shown that emotions run high when 'retail' is buying or selling. Emotions are not inducive to good trading decisions.
