Thanks Camie. I appreciate the sentiment. I imagine most of us here are doing it tough. I really like HotCopper because of what I learn from it but more importantly it helps to tap in to the sentiment of fellow investors. We are united by one thing. We are trying to make a better life for ourselves and our families. I find myself intrigued by all the different personalities on HC . I wonder about each and everyone's individual stories. I myself after years of investing in speculative shares came oh so close. I invested heavily in Ipernica. They had a universal binding patent on segmentation and reassembly technology which was an integral part of the ADSL broadband. But 2015, my ex-wife threatened that if I didn't divest and put the money elsewhere ( renovations holiday new car) she would divorce me. So I did. She left me anyway for a guy who made more money than me. Sold our house. Took our three children with her also. Nearly destroyed me. Got a scary insight into why so many guys top themselves. Ipernica went on to become Nearmap and at it's peak my investment had I been able to keep it would have been worth 2.5 million dollars. Ironic in the extreme especially given the ex is now a single mum living in Dandenong. The philosopher Doris Day would say Que Sera Sera.
I've been picking myself up ever since. Remarried a woman from Africa, have a delightful 2-year-old daughter with another child on the way and at 56 years of age find myself in a somewhat unenviable position of trying to play catch up. I managed by the skin of my teeth to catch up some with ResApp, then got a huge leg up from Pilbara minerals and feel like this is one last almighty throw of the dice on Eastern Resources. Part of me feels quite ashamed of taking such a huge risk but the rest of me...well... if we are right about Eastern Resources you will hear me sound my barbaric yawp from here in Melbourne to the Pilbara and beyond.
Let's buckle up and see if "Kansas is going bye-bye".
