Difference between this and crypto is that this is crypto has been around for over a decade and has had multitudes of up and down cycles at this point, with every subsequent cycle crushing the highs of the prior.
Its also lacks the risks of a fund management company where everyone pulls out their funds. It functions much closer to a commodity that tracks amplified stock market returns with heavy influence of interest rates.
Considering crypto is steady at a bottom far below its prior all time highs, historically you'd have been in the same situation at least 5 times now where you'd make massive amounts of money if you bought in now.
You have the benefit in the case of Bitcoin of not having "management" that can make a few bad decisions over the course of a year and a half and destroy the company, in the case of Magellan.
Jack is dense but I'd put it at a 95% chance he will make money off volatility alone in crypto over the next five years. Unless he never sells and waits for the crash after the next bull run, which wouldn't be surprising.
