Sledger, For many thousands of years women had children when they were relatively young. They raised them within the family group. The family group also looked after their own elders.
Now women join the workforce and the state tends the young and elderly. The women are in the workforce to pay off their 4x2 home, electronics, 2 cars and international holidays. Previous generations didn't have these luxuries but did have families.
