I've asked this question a couple of times now with no direct response, and so I ask it again genuinely seeking some thoughts.
A) What is an example of an announcement or addendum to an announcement that ICI could have put to the market in the last 6 months? B) What effect would the above answer have had on the SP?
In your opinion should we have seen a submission to the ASX to announce something like: Headline: "Progress on AAA games and other projects" With statements like: "ICI are developing a number of projects, launching in various stages in the upcoming year. The projects have the potential to deliver significant revenue in addition to the steady contract work being delivered by LSS"
Would that announcement be price sensitive? To be honest I'm not even sure what the basis of an announcement like that would be? It's a whole lot of nothing and quite frankly the bear market is not responding to great news, let alone something as fluffy as that.
With respect to offering guidance, in the shoes of someone in that position I would say only offer guidance when the forecast is clear. We have seen remarkable macro uncertainty and headwinds and though it's not as easy being a passenger, I can understand why forward looking statements have been minimal.
Please have a go at (A) and (B) - I'm keen to understand where the expectations of management are and what I'm missing.
