    36MWh is a lot.
    And that is a neat installation which, unlike the install we did with lithium batteries, doesn't need additional space between banks in the case of fire. Because there is no fire risk with V2O5 electrolyte batteries.

    Probably one of the coolest things I did on this job was got right into the programming aspects of some of the higher function security CCTV cameras & discovered that you could get cameras with thermal imaging functionality as well as normal CCTV function.
    That you could then get these cameras to scan the entire battery array - the CCTV function they talked about in the literature was to look for thermal signature of people, however the purpose on this project was to look for pre-determined hot spots anywhere in the array.
    The idea was to set it up so that if any battery bank got above a certain temperature the camera could be programmed to detect this temperature set point & zoom in on that area.
    The other function these cameras had was if connected to the internet you could pre-program this type of alarm to send out email &/or SMS messages to pre-determined individuals who, via an app, could log into that camera & see what was going on.
