Fossil fuels are basically required for every part of industry. It is amazing the naïveté of some. Just a few examples you don’t even thing twice about, bitumen (yes the thing you drive your EV on), healthcare (what you call PEG - used in oral dosage extensively), cleaning, coatings, lubricants , parrafins (personal care and industrial), Fertiliser production (see what happened in Sri Lanka when they decided to ban fertilizers, plastics (both single and engineering) and rubber, ( which again automotive need to reduce weight…. These are just a few.
Oh, and let’s not forget , the exercises keep the country running. taxes we all pay on investment in our roads, infrastructure.
Smart people look objectively and holistically at any situation. ….
we cannot escape using fossil fuels period.
For those that wish to curl up under blanket with flashlight and read about a world without O&G. Well you actually have no clue about the big picture….
