the Ukraine War has drawn China closer to Russia ....?

this is a very interesting discussion point , but not as simple as some may think

economically , oil and gas , I take your point
is China DEPENDANT on russia energy though , or just taking advantage of good deals ???

diplomatically , they started strong ...the alliance with no limits or some such .....but does Xi wish to be associated with a loser like putin - I think he's an embarrassment at present that Xi can't completely walk away from because of past comments

China has been doing some fence sitting , not supporting the annexation and not supplying arms - despite the rhetoric there WERE limits

also the war in Ukraine is hurting the world economy , hence China's economy , China would like to see it over I'm sure and putins career / ego is an impediment to that - China might likely care more about russia than they do about putin , but whatever, they care about the Chinese economy WAY more than either russia or putin

to simplistically say these two are being forced together I see as a misrepresentation of a complicated relationship -(same as most countries have with China)
