If VIL had gone with a Springtree type arrangement, I would never buy the stock whilst they were there. It's a simple as that. Springtree type arrangements were fine in the midst of the GFC. Not now. They are toxic to equity appreciation and isn't that what all of us are in the sharemarket for?
Full marks to Andrew McIlwain. He has done a superb job and continues to look after VIL shareholders' interests. I see a very bullish future for VIL once they get oil production from those upper zones. The sooner they spud FP#2 the better.
