COVID-19 is NOT influenza. Perhaps no more dangerous than a bad influenza but on serology testing it shows up completely differently. It also caused some unique forms of lung damage (which does heal eventually, as in months). Curiously, COVID-19 does not seem to infect people with type O blood. Influenza doesn't discriminate by blood type.
