A narcissist believes they are more successful than reality suggests, ie, an inflated sense of their actual social status.

If Tate legitimately owns 30 supercars and is successful with women, then his perception of his high social status is grounded somewhat in reality.

Empathy is not a clinical term. Empathy means to be able to see someone else's perspective.

If Tate is able to embody what women want, that means he has to be able to see their perspective. You may not like that women choose to give commitment-free sex to Tate, but they do, because he makes them feel like doing it.
