I agree its still keeping money sidelined and investors nervous. IMO it is the only thing that could prevent the SPP from being oversubscribed. After losing a heap in the last GFC it is my number one concern. The trouble is many big institutions that provide commentary one way or another often do so with some degree of self interest (shorting the market etc.) I listen and read as much as I can to find a balanced but in the end, with the markets ability to be irational, a stop loss is the best protection I can find.

Having said that the fear of it all provides opportunities for the bold.

IMO the longer term trend for copper is up, as with gold to a lesser degree but any speccy I get into must have cash to ride the bumps in the short term.

I'm taking a punt on SRI, starting with a bigger holding than I should with the intention of selling a few along the way.
