give you one taste of it, Yangzi river the third largest river in the world, and it's river system total fishing band for ten long years, including commercial fishing and for recreational fishing ( only 4 months off season one rod one hook per person ), in the name of environmental protection. anybody thought about cared about fisherman's livelihood? to be fare to the government they got paid for their boats and some sort of compensation package, was that enough how about their further?
