Scientific soothsaying for the masses, a new religion.
Gravity and QM are at their best extremely useful tools. There is no precise measurmements for any of these theories which any law of the universe would seem necessary to provide. Nice statistical ranges to work with though. Colliding 'particles' at high energy will create some effect but unless the collision is exactly identical all you're measuring is an assymetrical collision and its effect recorded. And at this scale and energy used that may be enough to provide more useful tools to work with, but the results are then shown off as universal truths.
As far as I am concerned the search for any law of the universe is a search for precise and exact perfection which mankind can simply not achieve.
