I think it is also with remembering Gina and Ellison (combined or in partnership) already have some multibillon dollar project in mind, which relies on first accessing a shed load of gas.
When this all started, I thought Gina might be willing to play ball with Strike in a gas plant and urea project (mainly because her intervention seemed designed to block Beach/Stokes). Now after todays latest skullduggery, and STX saying it asserts it rights to acquire the other 50% of WE, can assume things will be hostile/competitive at least until WGO is resolved. (After that, maybe some sort of JV development project may be negotiated).
I just can’t see how Gina (and MIN) can enact whatever $billion project they have in mind without dealing with the issue of STX’s operatorship in WE, first, and it’s hold over the centre of the PB more broadly.
