The thought that the floods would help NWH flitted to mind, but I quickly dismissed the idea because NWH has so much work, and most of the work on long-duration contracts that in these days of employee shortage, NWH is unlikely to be interested in quick-fix work. At a later date long-term flood-mitigation work like raising the height and robustness of bridges is in a sense, business as usual.
