It's too early tell. SQM and other lithium majors are desperate to increase their footprint in WA and are happy to take positions in explorers for the chance of paying off down the line.
I believe this is the second exploration company that SQM has invested in WA (can't recall the other play now). SQM simply playing a numbers game.
