First and foremost round oak was bought by AIS, it had/has a significant and diversified asset portfolio across Australia, two operating mines (Mt Colin copper in Queensland and Jaguar zinc/copper in WA) and a flagship zinc/copper development project (Stockman in Victoria). Not to mention some very interesting exploration tenements up Mt Isa way.

Lots of great potential value for sure, its main initial claim to fame is the transformation of Stockman to a long life low-cost mine, and extending other LOM and ROM assets. Additionally AIS expect larger funds will find AIS more attractive, on this I very much agree, the SP and vol over the next 6 months will tell us more on this. We will see how management do on these measures as time unfolds, I think they know exactly what they are doing.

I have owned just about every pure copper around at one stage or another. Thanks to some remarkable (low) pricing last year I have an attractive average on what I expect will deliver in spades for a long time.

    Cheers
    Phil.
