But if you think it is bad now, just wait until the new Labor carbon laws are in force to make the energy producers like AGL reduce emissions by 5%. In record time. When Bowen is trying to sell a carbon trading scheme which was first introduced for the first time by Gilliard back in 2010, remember the promise there will be no carbon tax under the government i lead. Which was a false promise by the way. Carbon was traded under a credit scheme of $23.00 a ton, now under Bowens plan it is going to be traded at $75.00 a ton. An increase 3 times over since 2010. The energy producers have to purchase these credits which is another word for tax just to keep the base load where it is to support industry requirements for reliable constant uninterrupted electricity that is the life blood of business in this Country. Take it away and see what happens. it would be catastrophic to Australia's economy, not to mention it would be economic suicide as investors both here and abroad would take their investment money out of the industry and go elsewhere. So as a result of avoiding this approaching energy base load problem, the energy producers have to pass on the increase cost to produce and deliver reliable energy due to a new carbon credit scheme, to you guessed it, all the domestic consumers, who are already feeling it because of mortgage interest rates and cost s of living doubling due to inflation and with projections of new energy prices from now that could double or triple by next year. And it's because the greens and Labor have done it, and didn't they promise to bring down costs of living and domestic energy prices before the election?. And in fact when Bowen smiles and laughs, because they have got this through the parliament with greens support of course who don't care about passing it onto consumers expenses, because the transition has to happen faster. the climate wars are over alright. And the cost of living war is about to start and is starting look like it may soon take down a lot of small people just trying to pay the bills and survive. So how by making it worse is that a remedy. It seems very simple to me, too far left wing stuff. So sad for Aussie battlers. And maybe some industries that employ them if they go down as well. but we will have a transition to a greener economy and boy are we paying for it and more to come.

Just goes to show we should not have abandoned the carbon tax. Whether we like it or not a carbon tax is here to stay. It does no good to complain about it, we just have to adjust the way we live to make for a better future. Do you remember John Howard saying there will be no GST, I don't all bitter and twisted about it.
