Believe it or not, non-descript announcements that tell us nothing often create more phone calls, so don't assume that announcements means less phone calls for a company.

Yes PR is a responsibility of a listed company, which is why they have a PR person listed who you can speak to. There is guidance on what announcements have to be made by a listed company, and regular nothing updates is not a requirement.
