A golden rule for any investment especially equity, past performance is no guarantee for similar future performance. Yes, the coal stocks have done well in the previous 12 months. The coal futures are peeling off in a concerning way and you have all those wall-to-wall Labor Govts destined to destroy the coal sector by any means, much to delight of its new base, Drs wives in elitist suburbs. Look to the future not in the rear-view mirror, and also the WHC managment, not the best around.
