Day traders' hoorah-it's-the-weekend lounge January 13 - 15, page-34

I'm relatively new to investing/trading. My longer term holdings that I've purchased over the last year or so are doing ok but I want to get into shorter term trading in order to financially support myself. I now have the financial opportunity to do that and don't want to waste it but feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed by day trading.

I watch the market each day but not sure what to look for or where to begin. Short term trading seems like a completely different beast to longer term investing. Any ideas from anyone are appreciated.
