Was the tree a small sappling?

Many years ago I lived on near one of the most dangerous stretches of Highway in Australia.

One year we had 9 fatalities in about 6 miles of road.

I've touched dead bodies and know how much speed it takes to kill.

90 miles an hour and hitting a Tree instead of a Small Bush sound like BS.

But you're telling the story.................. where was this accident?

Lol. Well done detective. Only, he clearly wasn't making a confession, he was posing an absurd situation. I finally understand why they putting warning labels like "Do not operate heavy machinery after use" on sleeping pills, or "May contain Nuts" on bags of nuts.
