Crikey, their small demo panels are expensive, with no specs of output. There are not any larger panels for sale from the Dyesol site, just small educational models.
You would think there would be panels out there for sale.
This isn't going to make it into mainstream until there are figures for power produced versus costs. Yes, they have some advantages over the silicon cells, (temperature springs to mind, silicon cells drop off in output at high temperatures, such as those found on rooves in the sun) but at what cost and how long will they last?
I want to see a shed hooked up with meters showing current and volts produced.
A few hurdles to get over. Colourbond can have holes drilled willy nilly for fixing to battens. You can walk on the stuff. You can drill anywhere to fix satellite dishes, antennas and cut holes for chimneys. What about water runoff for drinking, is it safe after being in contact with the solar sheeting?
