I see you are still believing what AUZ announces such as "settlement of ASIC blah blah blah" ................

ASIC and AUZ did NOT settle this - the courts diid !!!! Why do you think they had 3 case management hearings and 2 penalty hearings - these hearings were heard by guess what a "judge". Whilst less formal, they are used when there are few issues or facts that can be contested by a party and these hearings are typically cheaper / quicker (AUZs preference....)

And now the penalty, do you think ASIC / AUZ magically came up with this figure. I guess the 2 penalty hearing were just a catchup for drinks then ASIC says this "(ASX: AUZ) has been handed a $450,000 penalty by the Federal Court for breaching its continuous disclosure obligations on three occasions" and the judgement document says AUZ agreed to pay $450k, they both submit jointly that a penalty of that order should be imposed and the judge details why the penalty is appropiate (max penalty, past cases, admitting guilt, etc ....)
