I think this is my first post.... As a holder I was hoping we would be up around $1.80 by now and I assumed shorters were the reason for the current value.But I think the AKE report above is more telling of our share price and from that I think we may be slightly over valued. my reasoning below, happy to be corrected... (please tell me I am wrong)
CXO first shipment 15,000dmt @ 1.4% sold for $951/dmt
AKE December shipment ~15,000dmt @ 5.3% sold for $5284/dmt
From these figures alone it is reasonable to apply a value of 1/5 compared to AKE. I realize this is a massive simplification and doesn't take in all cost factors. As it stands, AKE market cap 7.8B, CXO 1.8B so not quite 1/5th so are we overvalued?
All I can hope for is the concentrator will bring in a much higher percentage ore and with it a much higher $ per dmt. Can this be done without reducing the mine life or amount of material to be mined annually? Here's hoping CXO can look to go one step further and build a hydroxide plant in the very near future.
