After today's announcement, listed investment companies (LICs) might sit up & take notice.
An LIC often buys a stake of about 5% of a company's shares to make the investment worthwhile.
Imagine what would happen to the share price if an LIC started buying with the intention of accumulating 7 million SMN shares.
Today's announcement has been brought to the attention of at least one LIC.
