I doubt they were ever on that curve at any time in the past and up until the present day. It feels like FYI is like a building facade, with nothing behind it. The doors and windows are there, but no-one has ever seen them actually open. The room lights are operated remotely, to create an illusion that someones at home. Just add some smoke and mirrors.
