I think the Germans are not in a position to wait and see for some of their offloading (see economic situation in Germany). And I'd wager, despite the big potential the lithium opportunity did and now presents for us, that those off-loadings were begrudgingly made.
The point still stands as a result of this annoucement, what is in the ground won't shift no matter who is at the helm. I have no issue with the way things are progressing now, the split focus teams on nickel + lithium, the take on of a cornerstone investor with significant expertise in this domain and the international advocacy which likely resulted in this deal amounting.
Despite the criticisms which imo are penny pinching concerns we are in a solid spot for a big opportunity to really start launching.
