There are people advocating to change the constitution to "close the gap".
This makes no sense, it is a permanent measure to solve a temporary problem. Once "the gap" is fixed the constitution will still be changed for ever.
There is no doubt that aboriginal crime, alcoholism and unemployment is a problem in remote communities. This needs to be fixed and at some time will be.
