My Oh my, you of all people with your Bible knowledge, should not be implying what it appears your doing.
Having looked and the Bible Hub, my is there some variations to this verse you quote.
Wotsup, you are from an engineering background, so let me explain something that you might understand
You know what an “Inch” is, it’s a whole number with many attributes to it, like ½ ich, ¼, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 all the way to 1/1000, all these make up the whole number of the whole 1, likewise with the attributes of God, the “word” is an attribute of who God is, again the attribute of the “word’ is Jesus, and again the attribute of Jesus are his odd 200 titles, this is the whole Jesus
Those verses you quote are just one attributes or essence of who Jesus is, it is not the whole of Jesus, in the bible most of the times it talks about just one of these attributes, you are picking on these verses only and lowering Jesus on it, you have to look at Jesus a whole of these attributes, then working your way back that this is what the attributes of what the “word” is, going further who God is
In the beginning before anything, God was just what there was, all alone nothing else, within God there was a plan that he wanted himself to be known, the only way is if there was something else so that he can be revealed
He created just that so he can be known through creation, and the working structure of creation within all its working God will reveal more of himself, especially in man, being conscience and aware of things
Created Adam, and through the working of Adam namely his fall, the motion was set for more of God’s revelation of himself to creation, namely us, in time he revealed he was “One God” in nature to the Jewish people, again within the working of the Jewish people, the setting was set for God to reveal more of himself, his nature
Enter John 1, further revelation, that God had more attributes of himself, that is He was also the “word” by nature together as one
With God.—These words express the co-existence, but at the same time the distinction of person.
Was God.—This is the completion of the graduated statement. It maintains the distinction of person, but at the same time asserts the oneness of essence.
We have arrived at the thought that the Word was one in nature with God.
The Word was God; the eternal pre-existence and personality are included in the thought
Which in turn took up flesh to reveal more of Himself, revealing further the makeup of the “Word” what the “word” is, its attributes - Jesus
The plainest reason why the Son of God is called the Word, is like in, that as our words explain our minds to others, so was the Son of God sent in order to reveal his Father's mind to the world -us- creation
Jesus is the fulness of God’s revelations to us, of himself, with the many attributes, revealing God’s nature, attributes and essence, this is why Jesus looks up to God and says he’s greater than I, God is the whole, what Jesus is revealing are his nature in a language we can understand hence the verses you often like to quote but you neglect the deeper nature of what they are actually saying
