    Staffies are fine!!

American Staffies, the kind which are very easily identified as American Pit BUlls are BAD BAD BAD.

The general little Staffy is gorgeous, absolutely amazing with kids if trained well and brought up with a baby, but not if they are full grown and come into the family.

Again, several friends of mine have Staffies...the little nuggety things with sawn-off little legs and chunk little Rugby League scrum pusher thighs. Very cute and i would trust them and have trusted them around kids but not cats.

The American Staffordshire has been found impossible to identify as it has almost 95% identical external features to a Pitt Bull...only the genes vary and only a gene test can verify the difference.
That is what the case on the Gold Coast is about...the council went through the criteria and found the dog to be a n American Pit Bull - mistakenly. Out of embarrassment, the council wont back down and they added it to the list of banned dogs for QLD.
    Permit needed up there.

I cant admire the little typical Staffie enough, they are wonderful if brought up as puppies.

    L
