Completely disagree. Announcement when the date works for administrative reasons. As for shareholder value - if a company is well managed and moving ahead, whether you announce a quarterly on Monday, Friday or the anniversary of the moon landing (apologies to those conspiracy theorists who don't believe that happened either) will make zero difference to the long term value of the company.
I VERY much hope management have not wasted one second considering what day is best for shareholders.
