Yes, I take your point, thanks. I don't understand why another company was not involved offering a higher price. Did the family have to sell to LIN only?
Initially, the project was sold for US$4 million to Lynas in 2007. There have been legal issues with the sale and Lynas did not end up getting the project.
Years later, the project was bought for US$30 million. I still think US$30 million is not much compared with the 'potential'. There are old articles claiming the project is potentially worth a billion dollars or more (way before the latest drilling).
