I think that attracting someone of his calibre reflects more strongly on the undervalued nature of NXS assets than the strong board and leadership Cottee refers to in the announcement.

Given his remuneration is strongly performance based, and he has happily accepted these terms, this indicates to me that he at least has a strong belief that he can reduce this discount of the SP to NTA.

All in all, a big plus for the company and I would hope this is something that re-establishes faith in management. Currently NXS is priced as if the possiblility of commercialising its asset bank is only remote and Cottee's appointment should gradually reverse this sentiment.
