Just my thoughts Silv, I maybe wrong. Powell has however been clear that he wants to bring inflation down to 2%. I don’t thing he will succeed but I think he will try. It is clear that unemployment has gone lower than the natural rate of unemployment. They want to increase unemployment a little. I suspect a couple more rate rises and then hold. After.the 70’s inflation the US Fed included price stability as a priority. Before that the FED was just concerned with Full employment which led to the inflation. Then at the end of the 70’s Volker came in and did what he had to do. In saying all this nothing would give me more satisfaction than a fully fledged FED pivot. Silver may then well reach your $50 and continue going. Time will tell. I think oil will increase back over $100 as well which won’t help inflation particular as China opens up.
