razorac, this is the most ridiculous government in Australian history. They have no idea of costings and frankly they don't care. Before reality settles on one failed scheme they are on to the next hair-brained idea. It is a very similar government to the Whitlam government which also had no fiscal prowess. The NBN is a crazy thought explosion and I hope that the bizarre reality of spending $43billion actually sees the light of real public debate before more taxpayer funds are consigned to the already full waste bin. Instead of wasting $43b on a hate-filled ideological vendetta against Telstra shareholers, the money would win wide acclaim if it were allocated to the hospitals system and allow Telstra to conduct its business on a level playing field.
