I would vote no to the death penalty. You might want to look at this site and the counter on the home page. 252 people exonerated by the innocence project. You can release innocent prisoners from gaol. You can't bring innocent executees back to life.

As for Carl Williams, too many people watch violence on TV where baseball bats break when you hit someone in the head. The reality is that the head breaks, not the bat. Williams was hit in the back of the head with a metal bar. Quite likely one hit would be enough to kill him if that was the intent. Does not need long.
