They're not exactly like for like companies. DRE does exploration and announcements. Often the announcements are rehashing old news. People lap it up and the SP grows which is great for holders. Awesome company to trade.

Hastings has a long term plan that's being executed. If you review government publications regarding critical minerals for the past 4 years, HAS feature heavily whereas DRE have not a single mention. They are more than 50% of the way funded for the construction of a mine. They have downstream value chain exposure and the backing of a bloke who is probably the most savvy mining billionaire getting around. In the long run selling a commodity is gonna be worth more than any short term sugar hit announcement.

The reality of HAS is that it's a long term hold as the work they need to do to take their product to market is enormous. This stuff takes a long time and management dishing out sugar hits for traders doesn't help get the work done. It's just fluff that doesn't achieve the objective of constructing a mine and selling product.

If you're a long term investor this company makes more sense than any other REE play around. They're going mining and are setting up downstream opportunities for multiple income streams.

If you just wanna trade HAS isn't for you and that's fine. Horses for courses as they say.
