It's not banter, its fundamental that management can be trusted and not take easy options at the shareholder's cost.
Their number 1 responsibility is to existing holders, not someone that wants to come in late at a discount.
The narrative around this raise will be incredibly important to their credibility if this is some US fund or private equity realizing how good this is and coming in the backdoor rather than buying on market then it will have long term implications, you only get one chance at reputation.
