I agree that no one knows what the future price of spodumene concentrate (or anything else) will be next year or any other year. However, given the predictions and government regulations on emission controls and the production of electric vehicles, I can't see the price of spodumene falling to one tenth of the current price any year soon. It takes a lot more time to find a lithium deposit, get approvals and get the whole thing into production than it takes to build b lithium battery or vehicle factory.
Recently, I posted an article about the new Tesla heavy truck. They claim to have two million orders for these which are supposed to go into production by the end of this year. Hertz recently placed an order, with Tesla, for 100,000 electric cars after an extensive trial which proved that they were overall much cheaper for that application than fossil fuel cars. There are multiple manufacturers entering the market and Tesla has just announced heavy reduction in price in an effort to dominate the market, or at least compete with the multiple new entrants. That does not look like a fall in the price of an essential input to the manufacture of all these vehicles to one tenth of the current price.
