I’d agree that there are challenges to be addressed in the production of the necessary metals etc, but take a close look at some of the Aussie miners, falling over themselves to decarbonise their operations, trialing electric vehicles, opting for (electric) lift hoists, switching their power sources to hybrid diesel/solar/wind. It’s all happening in mining and many other sectors. Much much more of the future is electric, and yes it will put pressure on the supply of copper and the copper price. As you note it can’t happen overnight because the supply of copper etc can’t be ramped up overnight, but it is and will happen.
Oil has a great future imho, but a very short term one.
