@SplitFusion and @Silent-Bubbles one way we could try to guess at the true resources estimate of Moblan is to get our hands on the 2019 FS that Guo Ao commissioned DRA/Met‐Chem to do. I have been looking everywhere for that FS and cannot find it.
That FS is where the 12.1Mt figure comes from.
It has been stated that a total of 136 holes had been drilled at Moblan.. but the history of Moblan goes all the way back to the 1950's. I would be flabbergasted if all those 136 holes are what gave rise to the initial estimate of 12Mt.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the holes drilled on behalf of Guo Ao are much lower than the total of 136 holes reported to have been drilled at Moblan. Guo Ao were penny pinchers who underreported and underestimated everything, deliberately.
