as an engineer, who performs iterative development as part of my job, I can tell you that when you are trying to test an experimental solution to a novel problem, you need to produce the solution, and then test if it works. you cant know if its going to not work before its even been produced.

we already know the schedule of imec production, and we know the schedule for the testing, are stanford attempting to fabricate an array integrated with the imec megabit platform? because I dont see how they would be able to print those dies without a bunch of equipment and a bunch of commercial agreements. stanford will be looking at different substrate formulations and masks but NOONE is going to know if the things that have been tried will work or wont work until they pull the wafers out of the imec fabrication. if thats already happened and they've seen something sure maby. but otherwise, noone, not one single person, knows if its going to work or not. if you believe other than that I respectfully do not understand your logic.
